RIP- ELECTRONIC ARTS (1982-2026) Today EA is permanently delisting its stock from the market, following the sale of all its stock to the Triumvirate of Evil. From now on 100% of EA's profits will directly finance Saudi Arabia's regime and Jared Kushner's deals. Needless to say: not with my money.

It also relies on the fact that grammatical structures are incredibly predictable and if you know the context, you can predict exactly which noun, adjective, etc will be used. It's why I sometimes can sing along a little to songs I've never heard. When you add rhyme the possible solutions are few.

My wife and I have been together for 23 years now, and there's plenty of times that we can finish each other's sentences - and so can the autocomplete on our phones. The autocomplete manages the trick by exploiting the fact that we often repeat ourselves. 15/

Y'all I hate to say it but "Google is free" isn't as valid anymore because Google has become so useless this summer that the info someone is looking for may actually be easier to find by asking on Bluesky.

The Rules! Things we don't do here: * MAGA * Clout farming / grifting * Quote dunking * AI, GPT, LLM * Crypto / NFTs Things we do here: * Raise each other up * Laugh and enjoy things * Block and move on * Use alt text * Share the Tom Holland video when you see it. You know the one.

Remember folks. The original bluesky ethos by us bluesky elders (apparently I count?) is block and move on. Don't quote dunk, don't pick fights. Block, and move on. This is what made this site unpalatable to the right early on, and we can continue to make it unpalatable to them.

The Writer and Workplace Intelligence report found that 44 % of Gen Z workers and roughly a third of the broader work force said they were actively sabotaging their company’s A.I. rollout. The fear is real, & it is spreading. The way out of this is not more hype. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/03/o...

Opinion | I Helped Run Lululemon. The A.I. Revolution Is a Hot Mess. (Gift Article)

The A.I. revolution is stalling because companies don’t want to admit that integrating the technology is expensive and slow and requires human effort.

🔥🔥🔥🔥 “All of the speculation and hype around A.I. is hiding the fact that the technology isn’t just large language models or agents or data centers. It is the backbone of a superstructure that merges regressive politics with unchecked economic power in the guise of technological innovation.”

Anyway, I made a reading list in public. I try to avoid doing that. The Twitter “syllabus” wars scarred me. It’s gonna be a touchy few days.

From the ProPublica story on the kid with UC dealing with United: "He said his review of McNaughton’s case primarily involved reading a United nurse’s recommendation to deny his care ... he copied and pasted the nurse’s recommendation and typed “agree” on his review of McNaughton’s case."
