I hate this so much. Farage said this would be immigration week, and here are all the headlines talking immigration, and not positively. Could someone in power, for once, just stand up to this shit 🤬

Multilayered protections for everyone. Yearning for the days when public health protected public health.
Well that's a vote of confidence for all Tory councillors.

BP quarterly profits up from $2.5bn to $5.73bn as Iran war sends oil prices soaring. Shell doubled its net profit to almost $10bn. High bills fuelling poverty and misery for households and businesses. Boon for execs and shareholders. Must levy 100% windfall tax on oil, gas, energy companies.

While wildfires rage, oil bosses are laughing all the way to the bank thanks to Donald Trump’s idiotic Iran war. People across the country are facing sky high energy bills. If Burnham is struggling to find the money to help families with those bills, I’d start here.
Oil giant BP profits more than double due to Iran war - again
Crop yields down, our countryside scorched and over 2800 people are dead due to this summer's heatwaves. Meanwhile fossil fuel giants are raking in record profits. We must end this rampant profiteering, and cut fossil fuels from our energy mix as soon as possible.

@london.gov.uk please can you help persuade @andyburnham.bsky.social that we need Hepa filters in our schools in Bedfordshire as you’ve proven the benefit to all in London schools? Our air quality in villages under the flight paths will also be detrimentally affected and no one seems to care

The state of this. A lovely day out for Badenoch and Philp, playing dress up and making pronouncements about early release schemes - having left the country with one hundred available men's prison places, after fourteen years in charge. You read that right. One hundred places.
It's been an absolute honour to visit Clacton fewer times than I've visited America, hold zero surgeries and do fuck all for the town.
French forces held a fierce defensive perimeter around Dunkirk and lost 18,000 souls. 40,000 became POWs. Without their resolve we wouldn’t have our nation’s story. It’s estimated 20-60k French resistance fighters died during the war. These fuckers really are vile bastards 😡😡

In 2023, Time magazine covered the immune damage from Covid. The research is just getting more concerning now three years on and it’s very troubling that we are still being told it’s ok for us to catch this. Catching Covid will make you more vulnerable to infections. time.com/6265510/covi...

And yet the evidence in the UK covid inquiry showed all these infections were unnecessary because Covid was known to be airborne from day 1. We must keep fighting for this evidence to be wide knowledge. #CleantheAir
When covid surged schools couldn’t stay open. That’s just what happened.

No they weren’t safe enough and the evidence in the covid inquiry shows that covid was known to be airborne from day 1. So why weren’t they mitigated for airborne risks and given covid is still vascular and airborne, why aren’t they now??
But it was never simply a question of “should schools be open or shut?” during the pandemic. The key question pre‑vaccine was: were schools safe enough to be open - for teachers, vulnerable children and whole communities – given the wholly inadequate mitigations the Johnson government put in place.
The funniest - and least discussed - aspect of this is that Farage, having reportedly told RefUK he'd only lead them if compensated for the £1m a year income he had outside politics, pocketed their five million, then kept earning from outside interests at the same rate anyway. He scammed even them.
Important, because Farage's defence for not declaring Harborne's £5m 'gift' has always been very specific: he did not decide to stand until 3rd of June. Turns out this deal was struck mid-May (confirmed by RefUK) and facilitated by Farage's other big donor, convicted felon 'Posh' George Cotrell. 🧐
Covid is airborne- fact stated in Covid inquiry. Covid is vascular, as stated by BMJ @yvettecooper-mp.bsky.social Who is monitoring the children for post infection vascular risks?

@andyburnham.bsky.social please will you give clean air at last to all our teachers and children????
Tell that to the dead teachers. And no. It’s not ok that they died at the same rate as many other groups, because 2020 was such a spectacular pandemic response fail with a horrible death toll that it was ALL AWFUL. www.tes.com/magazine/arc...

Kingfishers. Water voles. Beavers. They're all part of the future we’re working towards for London's rivers and waterways. Over the next decade, our new plan will tackle pollution, restore habitats and help Londoners reconnect with nature.
My mother had Alzheimer's, and it lasted a decade. That wilderness she descended into was made far worse by a state that essentially said "good luck" and "goodbye" having to navigate care and selling her house and worrying that we'd run out of money to finance it all. If anyone can fix it, good.
I'm old enough to remember when polio put my friends into iron lungs. We dutifully lined up at school to get vaccinated. We eradicated the disease. We protected the common good and saved lives. What RFK Jr. is doing to public health in America is a disgrace.
