If you're having a tough day, I highly recommend giving your brain a break with the @explore.org livestream of Sea Lion Beach in British Columbia, where you will currently see piled-up sea lions in a snoozy cuddle puddle www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uoo...

This is the highest-resolution view of the surface of the Sun. Ever. Taken by the NSF's Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope, features as small as 19 km across can be resolved. The wispy things are magnetic field boundaries formed by Kelvin-Helmholtz instabilities. The island of Ireland for scale.
I'm tired of being angry about AI, so everyone say Happy Birthday to the Curiosity Rover 💗 14 years of Mars science!
This seems to be true. Many people, reliable people, are saying that every single Flock camera has about 2-3 Ibs of copper and about 1-2 grams of gold
I'm not a fan of google's AI but i learned from @faineg.bsky.social that flock cameras contain a bunch of copper and at least a couple of grams of gold, so i guess in this case only it's right to trust the ai
My manifesto for Doctor Who a) ask Chiwetel Ejiofor to do it, but he has to do it as The Operative from Serenity 2) if he says no, ask again but with more money iii) if he still says no bin the whole thing off and go to the pub
My manifesto for doctor who 1) each week 10 new Who fans enter a writers room 2) Film them arguing over whose story is best, who should play the Dr and how the others stories are rubbish/break Who rules 3) repeat until the end of time.

A tiny calf spotted alone in the Tsavo bush. Two pilots watching from the air for nearly two hours, hoping his family would return. They never did. Today, Arthi turns two. An easygoing, independent bull, he prefers play-wrestling with Taroha and Olomunyak over rougher characters like Pardamat.

I see we're just littering the moon now on top of everything else. Booo everything
What an ethereal sight - this is sunrise seen from the summit of Titterstone Clee. Beneath the blanket of mist lie Hopton Wafers and Cleobury Mortimer, with the Wyre Forest stretching away beyond. Apart from the sheep grazing up there, I had this whole view all to myself. #Shropshire
SAVE OUR GREEN SPACE! The thought of losing this precious green and historic space in our local community is truly horrifying. Please come to the meeting if you can, we need to make our voices heard and take action #Shrewsbury #Shropshire

Bay Area friends: would you consider opening your home to these two cuddly cats? A friend found them behind a gas station. Their sibling, a black cat, got adopted, but it appears no one likes orange cats. They are being kept in a bathroom for the time being and need a home.
A friend of mine found these three kittens behind a Bay Area gas station. They are tame, vaccinated, and incredibly affectionate. Unfortunately, she's unable to keep them and I'm trying to find them a home. They are at risk of going to a shelter. Bay Area people, are you open to adopting?
Anyway, away from all else here's a dragonfly that kindly landed on an apricrot tree so I could photograph it.
