🧵 … Hey all … I’m in search of story sources who’d want to interview for an upcoming feature about trans folks who’ve moved from red states to blue ones, especially since the last presidential election. Signal boosts appreciated.

I'm putting together quarterly lists of forthcoming SFFH books published by small presses. I do my best to find the info but I can't possibly know every press or release, so I have a submission form. Please share broadly with small pubs, authors, and everyone & their dog so I don't miss a release 👇

I hope our collective memory of Klob’s wrongs isn’t as short as it felt the memory of Walz’s was. That man called the national guard on my city like. How many times? But it felt like we were all supposed to be cool w it in 2024.

Amazing watching someone squander easy pandering to a vast amnt of her constituents (“ICE is bad! Boo!” V easy) to appeal to only the richest in wealth and poorest in spirit Minnesotans out there. What a miserable excuse of a politician. What a fucking waste of time. Shame on her.

I joined Mayor Busse & Chief Hodges in Bloomington to highlight how the city is leading the way on public safety. Programs like Pathways to Policing are helping recruit future officers & strengthen community trust. I'll keep supporting law enforcement with the resources they need to keep us safe.

On Wednesday, we are holding public hearings on 3 major ordinances protecting our 2SLGBTQIA+ community! Including a safe haven for gender-affirming & intersex care, inclusive language in city code, & starting the pathway to remove outdated bathhouse restrictions with history tied to homophobia. 1/

To chime in as a Minneapolitan: whistles made a huge difference (and still do, ICE is still kidnapping people here, just at a slower pace). But what really helped was the pre-existing neighborhood groups from the summer of 2020, so get yourself whistle kits and start talking to your neighbors *now*

Reminder: as ICE just got $70 billion more (fuck ICE), we are still sending out whistles to anyone who wants them. linktr.ee/3Dwhistles

The most visible form of Minnesota resistance to ICE was the swarms of people whistling and watching and following agents in their cars. But the mutual aid groups keeping immigrant families afloat have become more necessary than ever. @brycecovert.bsky.social reports. prospect.org/2026/06/10/i...

Many immigrants forced into hiding are still unable to work and facing rent hikes. Aid money is drying up.
