I think I found my dad in this short film about the Cook Strait ferry service from 1980! That's him in the preview image with the turtleneck ("they were called seaman's jerseys in those days" he says). I think.

Okay so my partner's submission said "my partner is trans" and got rejected by the select committee because "it considers that your submission shares personal, private, or medical information about a third party.” Turns out they're constrained by law in this, and she can amend the submission... 1/2
