London based filmmaker working on folk horror, weird shit, punk sci-fi satire and stuff that exudes a cosmic darkness. Progressive humane human. Obsessed with phantasmagoria, perpetually dreich. Sometimes a numpty, always the odd one out. He/him.

On the day my country implements a bathroom ban it means so much to be in a room full of awesome trans people, trans elders, and cool folks working on something amazing ❤️‍🩹✊ The fight goes on till we’re all free

Lilly Wachowski in director mode with a god rays theatre light above her. In the background Micky Mahoney looks on. Alex Winter sits in the seats and behind him is Nina Nguyen

This is awful. Sympathy and solidarity to my trans and nonbinary friends. To those in Labour who think the matter is now closed, you have no idea how badly you've screwed up. This is your Section 28. And to everyone else, if you think you saw someone going into the "wrong" toilets, no you didn't.

Our code of practice for services, public functions and associations comes into force today. It provides practical guidance on how the Equality Act 2010 applies to services, public functions and associations. Find out more: https://ow.ly/alIf50Zwrkx

Quote from Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson: 'At the EHRC we want a society where everyone’s rights are respected and realised, so that we can all live well together. Our statutory guidance will help services across the country comply with the Equality Act, protecting service users from discrimination and harassment while reducing the risk of the provider being subject to litigation.

As Britain’s equality regulator, our work doesn’t end upon publication of this guidance. We monitor compliance with the law and take enforcement action where proportionate and necessary, in line with our well-established regulatory model and decision-making framework.'

There will always be people who are born wanting more. People drawn to seek out hidden or forbidden knowledge. They will find us no matter what the AI cultists do. We will be the thorn in their side, the itch they cannot scratch, the shadow that slips across the alley at night and makes them shiver.

Destroying the arts is also their goal. Art and culture provokes thought and ideas. That’s something the Epstein class does not want you to have. I can’t believe so many people cannot see this for what it is. We may have already lost but I’m fucked if I will ever comply with this evil.

This is a coup against the masses being carried out unopposed by the Epstein class, the one percenters, to reduce the workers of the world, to strip them of their intelligence and will. They want the peasantry back and they are the feudal overlords holding the whip.

It would seem even the most basic video editing job now aggressively demands you have to be a gen AI user. Gen AI is destroying the planet and its use diminishes critical and mental facalties. In the case of children, recent research reveals that it stops their brains from developing properly.

I wish others would be like Drew. Everyone else seems utterly convinced we are redundant and expired, that they can just say press the button that says AI and make all their problems go away. We’ve been replaced by enslopification generators and next to no one cares.

Mad respect for post-production in general. @craigceravolo.bsky.social just worked a miracle on an upcoming HIP POCKET episode, and my entire creative career, I have been amazed at what a good post team can accomplish and transform and elevate.

A depressing reality: I am looking for work outside of the the film and TV industry for the first time since 2001. It would appear that every job expects people to act and talk like the most obnoxious contestant on The Apprentice. There’s simply no way I could ever “live for office procurement”.

"If this is what it takes to get a rom-com greenlit these days, maybe we should just let them die. Death with dignity is surely a better fate for the genre than fascist capitulation." Zero stars for this piece of shit movie. My review of ONE NIGHT ONLY for @ebertvoices.bsky.social

One Night Only review: Pull out from this sex-negative rom-com
