All of which is to say that these people are, without a doubt, far less responsible than the atomic scientists ever were, even the most reckless and irresponsible of the atomic scientists. The average AI tech CEO appears to make Edward Teller look entirely sober and careful by comparison.

His reasoning was that even one catastrophic accident could destroy all public enthusiasm for a technology he believed was important.
There should be a political party that wants to stop this and punish the people doing this

I agree with both the proponents and the opponents in this tweet. The difference is that the opponents see this as bad, while I see it as good. “Local control” to retain racist/classist policy is bad.
