Picard was my hero as a kid. Years later, I met Patrick Stewart briefly at a convention. I thanked him for all he had done speaking against domestic violence. He said, tenderly, “Thank you. I did it for my mother.” I said “for me too.” He gave me the most caring and present smile + nod. A gentleman.

It's really good to see a city stand up for itself. We should do that more often.

2. Gillis a BAD "SNL" host and has been THRICE. He puts in no evident effort and gets no evident pleasure out of doing something that is supposed to be fun. There's no evidence the cast likes working with him or the writers like writing for him and he should never host "SNL" again. 2/2
I have two complementary takes on Shane Gillis and his latest "SNL" stuff. 1. Gillis has a history of being racist, xenophobic and misogynistic and his monologue was very misogynistic. He never should have hosted "SNL" in the first place or second place and he should never host "SNL" again. 1/2
