Why can't you play hide-and-seek in a Chinese restaurant? Because it's always spoilt by the Peking duck.

Despite the endless talk in Westminster about how well Kemi Badenoch is doing, the Conservatives were beaten into *fifth* place here, and were over 5,000 votes behind Restore UK. At some point delusions around Badenoch need to make contact with reality.
While only 13% of people live in a 1-person household, 30% of households have 1 person. I think this is part of the reason people underestimate the level of demand for smaller (e.g., 1-bedroom) apartments.
This afternoon I made a little trip from #Flåm up to the Stegastein viewpoint at 650m, which overlooks the world's 2nd longest fjord - Aurlandsfjord 🇳🇴 The weather was pretty moody too 🌈 #Norway #NonstopEurotrip

Google has also decided to effectively kill the desktop version of Google Earth Pro - which has been a genuinely useful mapping tool for many years. They’ve apparently decided those resources are better spent allowing users to burn AI credits on creating satellite imagery disinformation.
Get Google Earth Pro while you still can.
In an update on Tuesday, Google says it will block users from downloading its Google Earth Pro desktop app starting June 25th, 2027. People can continue to use the app after that date, which offers ac...

Well over a decade, we have all witnessed rhetoric from some of Trump’s supporters calling for violence or directing hateful slogans toward Jews, liberals, immigrants, Muslims, LGBTQ Americans, and countless others. Not every Trump voter embraces that language,

Once again: AI is the reverse printing press that makes asynchronous communication impossible
New from 404 Media: Google Earth has introduced an AI feature that lets anyone fabricate completely bullshit satellite images. In our own tests, we added a “bomb blast and crater” to an area of Los Angeles. This is a misinformation time bomb, will 100% be abused www.404media.co/google-earth...

"In the crescendo of orgasm I have sometimes been known to shout out the incumbent Pope's name" I have been back on the apps literally one minute. This is from the second profile I have looked at since reactivating. I am doomed

Because AI detection tools aren't solid, and may never really be as far as we know, the situation AI companies have created for themselves is that writers and artists now have a professional, reputation-guarding interest in talking about how terrible AI is as often as possible.
Avoid such fates by doing as I do: (1) Never use AI for any part of your book, (2) loudly tell everyone how much you hate AI on social media
why are harbingers always of doom why can’t we have harbingers of cake?
The people who rant about “DEI hires” are totally cool with the fact that the Chair of the House Judiciary Committee couldn’t even pass the Bar exam.
JIM JORDAN: Blanche said it's dead. I don't know what else it takes. HUNT: Well, you're a lawyer! Don't you ever tell clients to get it in writing? Isn't that legal 101? JORDAN: I'm not a lawyer either
Heads up, new term for perv goggles just dropped.

I don't share photos much on here, but I got so lucky with this: moonrise behind a lighthouse, taken through the window of a moving train. This is the Forth, from near Kinghorn. #Scotland
The moon having a rest on St Michael's tower at sunrise this morning. I took too many photos of both moonset and sunrise this morning so more to follow hopefully when I have had time to work through them all. 😂
