Ok, so…I have thoughts. First let’s state the obvious. Some men (even Christians) lust after other men. And this photo is as homoerotic as anything I’ve seen on Instagram. But that’s not the major issue. This attempt to “protect men from lust” makes all the classic errors of purity culture. /1

Hello fellow NIMBYs, YIMBYs, and everything else. I am at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia on Grove Avenue. Today is a meeting community meeting for the proposed code refresh for The Fan neighborhood, the largest intact Victorian neighborhood in the United States.
White women of both parties need to care about this - even if only for selfish reasons because if this is successful, women are next. They're already talking about it. If we lose Black/Brown voters, Dems cannot gain power and women will lose their right to vote, too. And quickly.
This is my county. It's why I always vote early. They are scared Tarrant is gonna go ultra blue this year and elect Talarico and other down ballot Dems. The other night the county arrested citizens who went to a meeting expressing their concerns about the change.
