Eight rope canopy bridges in Brazil’s Amazon recorded 15,000 wildlife crossings in just 15 months, with zero roadkill at monitored sites. Camera traps captured monkeys and other tree-dwelling animals using the crossings, proving simple solutions can save lives. 🌿🐒

furry has always been built around community artists, and that includes cover illustrators, narrators, editors, and writers. we've been anti AI from day one plus, we don't make you pay dues! or get our name used by shitty editors to "prove" their contracts are good, actually!

@ mainstream writers: you can join the Furry Writer's Guild, y'know. Absolutely no AI, no platforming assholes who're selling AI services. We got our own anthologies and an award and everything! And you most likely have already published a story that qualifies :)

One of the great joys of my adult life has been realizing that I can just pick up a new skill every so often, take a fun little class in it weekly for a year or two, and simply enjoy meeting people and getting medium proficient and not attempting to become professional in it at all!

"..and it’s there, right there with the sight of something so green..." I LOVE it when a drabble uses language in a luxurious way, as if the author has all the time (and word count) in the world. This takes skill. A gorgeous, heartbreaking piece by @wordsfromemorra.bsky.social

Getting real sick of slop midwives pleading for a 'respectful discussion' of AI as relates to the arts. Your use of AI to 'make art' is not respectful. It benefits from stolen art, destroys the planet, and does not make you an artist any more than someone driving 26.2 miles is a marathoner.

Texas isn't a red state. It's a state held hostage by gerrymandering and voter suppression. Hell, earlier this week they announced they're shutting down half the voting centers in Tarrant County (that's Fort Worth, 2.2 million people) and kicked everyone out of the hearing who wanted to comment.

This is a sentimental essay about politics, which I know isn't the fashion, and yet the editors at @newrepublic.com let me write something personal about the Lone Star State. Link in the replies.

Writing time! Making time to write almost every day has improved my headspace in so many ways. This is how I used to write, but then I had to steal an hour or two late at night because of my day job, and then at some point I just stopped writing almost completely.
