Weather, climate change, air quality, community, gardens, photography, family. Certainly left of centre. Resident of Treaty 6 territory. My image is from a street sketch bought in Havana a few years ago. A decent likeness.

Let’s be clear here, when scientists say mistakes were made at the start of the pandemic, we DO NOT mean that we did too much. We mean not socially distancing quickly enough, not making tests widely available, and not acknowledging COVID is airborne and distributing N95 masks to everyone.

Our dear Premier must correct this woke bike lane in Canmore. They could put two more driving lanes in if they took out these bike lanes. Surely this will help distract from all the incompetence of her administration. #ableg #abpoli

Two lanes - the red one marked ride and the grey one marked walk.

So @mark-carney.bsky.social You seem willing to roll out the red carpet for fossil fuels and do little to nothing for the red tape for renewables. Why should we pay for pipelines, carbon capture and incent doubling oil production? Makes little sense in a world of heat waves.

Here’s the thing @mark-carney.bsky.social If we get quickly to renewables, batteries, EV’s, heat pumps etc etc we can reduce Canadas emissions such that the new pipeline doesn’t increase total emissions. Reduce the domestic market for oil and gas - reduce our emissions.

Annex businesses tell Ford to back off Bloor bike lanes

Stores in the Annex say the Bloor bike lanes have been a big boost to business. As Michelle Mackey reports, the neighborhood's BIA wants the province to back off its new bill that could see the lanes ...

I mean… it’s not crazy that an 80 year old man would have 4 checkups in like 18 months. It’s not weird that he nods off, that he rambles, has weird bruised skin on his hand, or even that he has swollen ankles. What’s fucking insane is that an 80 year old man is President of the United States.

Canada Is Losing the Global Energy Future The 4th Industrial Revolution is driving the transition from oil and gas to electricity. Canada is running as fast as it can toward ever more oil and gas. We're betting on the horse. Ugh. #cdnpoli markhamhislop.substack.com/p/canada-is-...
