The thing I like the best about Frank Franzetta's EOWYN VS THE NAZGUL LORD is that Eowyn was disguised as Dernhelm, just another one of the boys. Which means that this is how all the Rohirrim were dressed.

I always think of that concept / art from @cinemaminddavid.bsky.social that updated the Fatal Frame series to be heavily inspired by Shiraishi and 90's Hideo Nakata J-horror stuff. A camcorder instead of a cursed camera. It looked amazing.

I’m not sold on this remake yet. The series director hasn’t had the juice for yrs(Nintendo prob didn’t help), and the other guy worked on Other M, Nioh, and FFV(all shit). I hope I’m wrong. I want nothing but the best for FATAL FRAME, but it’s long overdue for new blood. youtu.be/-1j2qiOhwv8?...

THE GUNSLINGER ON THE BEACH (1982) Acrylic on Board - 28" x 18" The winter months of 1980-81 were tough. My wife and I became parents with the arrival of our daughter in November, and I needn't tell anyone who has children what that means in terms of lifestyle changes...like lack of sleep. 1/4

Roland Deschain, the last gunslinger, stares contemplatively across the sea as waves gently lap the shore. Footprints can be seen in the damp sand leading to where he sits, pistol unstrapped at his hip and bedroll at his side. The sun hangs low but intense, blazing a line of orange across the horizon. Over a low stretch of wispy clouds, the silhouette of an asymmetrical tower rises dream-like in the sky. Odd projections mark the sides while spires of varying height sit atop the peak like chaotic crenelations.

Laying off thousands of people so that your numbers look better for the quarter while making many more billions is such a f'd up reality. Making numbers go up forever is not sustainable and never was. What a colossal waste of talent and then later the cycle goes back to hiring and acquisition again.

The great Stephen Fabian is one of those artists from the 2E era of AD&D that just doesn’t get enough credit or attention. His interior illustrations in the Ravenloft line and Tome of Magic especially stand out. Pitch perfect aesthetic… and what an amazing talent. Pure 💯.

The hot thing about MERP modules is that often they have these Angus McBride covers. Look at this one of the White Council rushing into the Necromancer's fortress of Dol Guldur! Look how Radagast has those woodpeckers!
