The thing with designating a group that doesn't actually exist as a terrorist organization is that they can then say anyone they want is a part of that group.
The fact that Matthew Dowd lost his job for pointing out Charlie Kirk’s hate speech, while Brian Kilmeade openly suggests we should euthanize the homeless and there is zero outrage, shows exactly what is terribly wrong with today’s political mainstream media.
We can be morally outraged by an assassination and at the same time acknowledge that Charlie Kirk’s racism and misogyny were immoral. Whitewashing his behavior and beliefs betrays the collective by masking how we got to this place in America.

There is not one marginalized, racialized, or oppressed group whose oppression or destruction is an acceptable cost for saving "democracy." Not one. If saving democracy requires leaving marginalized people behind, that's not a democracy worth saving. Either we all get saved or none of us do.
I think this is extraordinary: the most recent Democratic Presidential nominee thinks our political system is broken and not strong enough to defend our most fundamental principles. We have to understand that this crisis is bigger than one person, or one party--it's the entire system.
