A new event series has started...."CD-ROM studies!" We will invite guests involved in CD-ROM software in the 1990s and interview them about the behind-the-scenes stories.

An insane video game-related Lost Media find has quietly popped up on YouTube. Two episodes of "Say Powww!", a 1979 game show about video games that only aired in some markets. People in studio and over the phone played Intellivision (!!) games. Predates Starcade!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=29tJ...

Bombshell new report out from my investigators this morning spanning our four year investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s financial records. This report shows exactly how Wall Street protected Epstein and enabled his sex trafficking for decades. Mega thread following with some key points:

Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan, BofA Enabled Epstein, Wyden Report Says

Democrat Ron Wyden cited nonpublic documents held by the US Treasury in a report that says banks delayed reporting suspicious financial transactions and calls for tougher anti-money-laundering rules, ...

Hey comics people, The Dark Horse union needs your support right now. Senior editors do more work than most of you can possibly imagine and they deserve to be apart of the union. Some of them have been waiting a long time for this. Stand with them! Please sign and share this petition!

"[D]ockworkers unions ... are calling an international day of action 'against war and militarization' on October 30. They are demanding an end to 'the genocide of the Palestinian people' and the 'US-Israeli wars of aggression in the Middle East and against Iran.'"

From Genoa to Tangier, dockworkers are refusing weapons shipments and shutting down ports to “create real pressure to stop this dirty war.” @sarahlazare.bsky.social reports that unions in six countries are organizing with the demand: “Public resources must be used to meet people’s social needs."

BTW Rowling’s pivot to transphobia came suspiciously on the heels of her losing some of the milennial epic doggo leftist credo after she went whole hogface in on the “Corbyn is an anti-Semite” smear campaign, class war always & forever, bigotry is the refuge of wealthy pedophiles

Kazuki Takahashi seemed like a cool guy and I'm glad he made a fortune within his lifetime once the card game took off, but I'm almost bummed we didn't get more like the early Yu-Gi-Oh where Yami was a supernatural imp doling out cruel Tales from the Crypt morality punishments through kids games.

Well FUCK What must Rowling’s lawyers have threatened to cow AMNESTY like this. “In particular, we apologise to Beira’s Place and other groups, which we categorised as gender critical organisations, which we should not have collectively labelled as anti-rights.” But truth beats TERFs.

Amnesty have issued an apology to JK Rowling and the rest. Adjust your expectations, and donations, accordingly www.amnesty.org.uk/latest/an-ap...

one piece of information missing from this, which i'm super curious about but failed to find, is how far GPS got in this process while the rightsholder was awol. did the creator come aboard at some point, and give a go-ahead, after negotiating a revenue share? or did GPS get this far with no input -

Interesting stuff here: GPS has received an ok to rerelease an old game that's considered basically "legal abandonware" (my words) under this new system. However, digging deep into the filing (literally the last sentence, haha), the number of downloads will apparently be capped to 100 total.
