Microsoft: $101 BILLION in profits. $12.5 BILLION in tax breaks. $176 BILLION in stock buybacks. 4,800 workers fired this week. 9,000 workers fired last year. Please don't tell me trickle-down economics works. It never did. Nothing trickles down.

Big Walk comes out TOMORROW, August 4. "But what time??" we hear you ask. Well! Let us tell you: • on Switch 2 and PS5: late morning-ish for your console region* • on PC and Mac: 6am PDT exactly (11pm AEST)

Blog posts we used to have: “how I reduced latency across several hundred machines by 200 ms by removing two O(n)^2 hot paths” Blog posts we have now: “Here’s how to get the most out of /ultrathink in the latest release of Claudex 3.0.5”

Also: "In a team without a strong existing culture of collaboration, this has a tendency to further separate people, to chill communication at precisely the moment when you most need the reassurance that other humans are finding this hard too." 💔
