It gets an actual chuckle out of me seeing people on here say "now the TRUE test is whether the shitlibs can live up to their own words and line up behind El-Sayed!" only for Stevens, Whitmer, every prominent Michigan Dem, the DSCC, etc. to have endorsed El-Sayed before they can finish the sentence.

A paramilitary group plotted to overthrow the Constitution then conducted a violent attack on America. They were convicted in court of seditious conspiracy, and jailed. Then the leader they aimed to illegally install got power and let them out, their records wiped clean. The Jan. 6 attackers won.

the funny thing about people in the western world being angry at sikhs for taking all the trucking jobs is that people in India are also angry with them for taking all the trucking jobs. It's not you. It's what we do. We are the Truck Guys.

Taking it as read that Max Miller is a horrible person who should not be in Congress, I am also astonished that he has no one around him who can give him the obvious advice to shut up and stop talking. The guy can't speak without making himself look worse but insists on doing a bunch of TV.

I think arguments about whether we should court MAHA quacks when one of their bugaboos gets fact adjacent sort of misses the point. I don't think that technocratic improvements in public policy are going to solve the emotions leading to those beliefs.

A base spec Honda accord in 1993 would run you about four inflation-adjusted grand more than a current base spec Honda Accord which will run until the heat death of the universe while also being superior in every other respect except maybe the convenience of its setup for smoking cigarettes

also, cheap stuff has actually gotten way better quality now. this is a 1985 chevy cavalier. 88hp engine (although it was fuel injected!), and basically no creature comforts [a/c was an option, same with an FM radio]. it would last you maybe 100k miles. It cost the equivalent of $27,000 today.
