In the past year, metro Atlanta saw more evictions than all of New York City—despite having *one-quarter* the renters. Multiple Atlanta apartment complexes averaged an eviction a day. "The numbers are mind-blowing," said Grace Hartley of Princeton's Eviction Lab.

It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize that when Atlantans talk about places being "accessible," they usually mean "there's a bunch of free parking near the door." I had optimistically assumed they mean there were great sidewalks, crosswalks, buses, and ADA ramps.

Congrats to BART rider and Oakland legend Alysa Liu on winning a gold medal at the Olympics and making the Bay Area proud!

We've done numbers. We've tightened our belt. We've figured out how much we need to raise from the community to keep our work going. We need you to help us raise $65,000 to ACPC keep operating at the level you expect from us until the second half of the year, when most of our revenue comes in.

I got to use the streetcar today! After I had a great lunch from Afro Dish at the Municipal Market and bought some groceries at one of the produce stands at the Market, I took the streetcar a couple of stops so I could be a little closer for my walk back home. $1 (paid on the Breeze app). Worth it.

With approved designs and funding in place, yet no sign of action, we say: a safer Peachtree Street should not be this difficult — nor this delayed. With lives lost at this very spot, additional delay will put more people at risk for injury and death.

The group bike ride for Alex Pretti is about to depart in Minneapolis, stopping at his memorial, then Renee Good’s, and finishing at the VFW. If you can join, hop on anywhere. It’s a warm 17° & sunny! I’ve never seen this many cyclists for a group ride. ⚡️✊🏽⚡️🚲⚡️✊🏽⚡️ #RIPPretti
