i want to talk about the chaos of poor moderation that i've seen brewing on here especially over the past couple of days. i do feel a disclaimer is in order to say that i haven't been *as* logged on, which means of course i don't have *all* the context and just my point of view.

It is very funny that when the Strokes speak out about Gaza or Iran people point out they were prep school kids, as if that invalidates things. We want class traitors????

Was having the tiniest of pity parties being mega frustrated with my very cute 2yo who insisted on scootering in spite of the piles of snow still on the ground here in NYC(I have no clue where that stubbornness comes from 🙃). Ended up carrying his 40lb hiney and the scooter parts of the way.

i think this gets at something important which is that normal people are rightly pissed off that they’re having normal time stolen from them by this ravaging horde of jumped up mall cops. everybody has to work in the morning! why is it THEIR job to hold their community together in such a basic way!

🔥 From @statuscoupnews.bsky.social : “This is nuts. What the fuck is going on? I’ve never protested in my life… they tell you it’s immigrants — it’s fucking anybody. They’re just trying to scare people. I’m not paid to be here. I have to work in the morning. This is wrong.”

Democrats will stop talking about needing to move towards the center, maybe when there is nothing left of the party. Y'all been tryin' that for the last 20 years. It's been a losing game(and sucks). Maybe try actually supporting what working folks need? Like, the massive majority of Americans?

Concerning, bc it indicates that the extent of the concentration of power in the hands of a few hyperscalers is way less widely understood than I’d assumed. Which bodes poorly for our ability to craft reality-based strategies capable of contesting this concentration & solving the real problem. 2/

Everyone seems allergic to the word, but Charlie Kirk was not an activist, he was a propagandist. Turning Point was a meme factory backed by a billionaire designed to steer kids towards Christian Nationalism. He didn’t advocate for policy; he spun narratives to change beliefs. Propaganda.
