The Teenage Lovedolls film series has to be up there for most batshit insane no-budget films about a fictional band. Highly recommended, although trigger warning in the first one for sexual assault and graphic IV drug use, and in the second one for, um, cults.

The Natalie Harp thing is important because the brute fact of the matter is that Trump is no longer mentally/physically capable of governing on his own, and he relies on sycophants like Harp for basic functioning. And he knows this and is humiliated by it, which is why he's hollering like a hit dog.

The Globe is simply lying here. What Seth Moulton actually did was refer to trans girls as “male,” imply they would hurt people, and say he didn't want them playing sports with his own daughters. It was blatant bigotry. He talked about trans girls the way segregationists talked about Black children.

Perhaps the starkest evidence Markey supporters can cite for dismissing Moulton are the congressman’s post-election remarks in 2024 about commiserating with parents who worried about having trans girls playing girls sports. He was attempting, ham-fistedly perhaps, to point out that the Trump campaign had successfully exploited Democrats’ unwillingness to discuss the issue — one that polls clearly show troubles not just independent voters but also more than a few Democrats.“Democrats spend way too much time trying not to offend anyone rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face,” Moulton told the Times. “I have two little girls, I don’t want them getting run over on a playing field by a male or formerly male athlete, but as a Democrat I’m supposed to be afraid to say that.”

The Boston Globe endorsement of Seth Moulton boils down to them saying that Ed Markey is old and it praises Moulton because he has "remained a supporter of Israel's right to defend itself." This is exactly what I expect from the Globe, including hand-waving away Moulton's anti-trans comments.

this year, Dr Beth Upton was hounded out not only of her job - after vindication at tribunal - but the country, by the press & Gender Critical eradicationists as a single body. they kept publishing, implying she had ripped off the taxpayer when the NHS trust backed her. this is their murderous MO.

Sharing from a friend, a passage from the Leveson Inquiry regarding the British actor Denholm Elliott, who died of AIDS in 1992. Three years after her death, the News of the World journalist Paul McMullan did the following to his daughter—neither a celebrity nor even someone of public interest.

BROOKE GLADSTONE: The Inquiry brought up the case of Denholm Elliott's daughter - PAUL McMULLAN: Oh, yeah - BROOKE GLADSTONE: - which is one case that you truly do regret. PAUL McMULLAN: I do, yeah. After Denholm died, she hit rock bottom, was allegedly doing methadone. And although she had, you know, the half-million-pound flat that Denholm had bought her, she didn't have any money to get her ten-pound bag in the morning. So she'd get up and go begging at the tube station. Here was a young girl crying out to be helped, and she met a police officer who didn't help her but rang up the News of the World and asked for money because he couldn't believe that this is the same girl who'd walked down the red carpet behind Eddie Murphy with Denholm Elliott, you know.
