Unfortunately yes, take it from experience. I know it but not many people know about Rowling being a bigot sad to say. Best thing you can do is educate someone. No berating, no yelling, best thing you can do is approach it as something grave and hope for the best they learn.

While the SCREEN Act failed in the committee, KOSA did move forward. Contact your senators immediately demanding it be opposed, and keep the pressure up until it comes to a vote in the Senate

The vast canyon of difference in quality between the live action One Piece and live action Avatar shows on Netflix should be scientifically studied. Just based on the stuff shown in the Big Joel video I watched on Avatar's second season, that shit is a goddamn trainwreck.

Gonna be blunt, the reason I complain about AI so much is because it's made so much extra work for me, as I'm inundated with AI slopware games that I have to sort through and filter out, if this garbage tech ceased to exist tomorrow, it would be an immediate ease of that workload.

The narrativising of this is kind of maddening. OpenAI's model didn't "break free and hack HuggingFace." Meta's model didn't "break free and hack another company." Tech companies are blatantly doing illegal acts and saying their AI did it on it's own as a promotional stunt. That's it.

The $30 million AIPAC wasted in Michigan, wasted trying to help Haley Stevens, could have been used to fully fund and deliver 6 million malaria nets to sub-Saharan Africa. Or, it could have fully paid for universal free school breakfasts in Mississippi, America's poorest state.
