Trans man, memoirist, and mental health unfluencer who will absolutely make you worse. My writing aims to make people uncomfortable in their own heads, the way the good lord intended. https://lnk.bio/vicowhitmore

In light of some magazines pulling scummy things on creators lately, I’m doing a little thread on short story rights. I don't want anybody getting taken advantage of. Also, if you're new, this stuff can be confusing!

Wouldn't it be pretty fucking funny if my indie trans novel with $0 for our marketing budget had already sold three times as many copies as this? Hey, wanna help make it 5 times as many, and get a sweet and scary trans coming-of-age novel too? (it's being called one of the best books of 2026)

Suella Braverman selling 106 copies of her book after all that publicity is so delicious.

Crack 'em while you can, though, because Suella's star might just be on the skids. Despite plugging her book on Question Time, on Tim Shipman's Spectator podcast, in serialised excerpts in the Daily Mail, and in a fawning interview with Allison Pearson in the Telegraph, in its opening weekend, Patriot sold precisely 106 copies.

Happy 72nd Birthday to Ruby Bridges, who at the age of 6 desegregated the New Orleans public schools. She’s younger than 30 senators and our last two presidents—and only 7 years older than Barack Obama. The past isn’t past.

I am aware that I am extraordinarily blessed to still be employed as a person with near crippling CPTSD but also my job right now is largely trying to figure out how to tell another department enough info to do their job but not enough to fuck up their job and I am TIRED.

Be patient and kind to those who are making art right now. We're all self-funded and the richest, worst people in the world are trying to plaster over and erase our hard work.

I've had a fucked up neck/shoulder all week, a canker sore in front of one of my canines, a zit in the very corner of my mouth, and last night I had back to back nightmares about being stabbed and not even in a sexy way. This week is cancelled everyone pack it up.
