Here for a good time, not a long time
People need to start getting disbarred for this shit.
The Justice Department is admitting that a $14 million renovation on the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool in Washington, DC, was flawed, and is dropping the criminal case against a former Olympian that accused him of damaging the pool, according to a new court filing. https://cnn.it/3RJJnwj
hey @kenjennings.bsky.social this is an excellent reason why you shouldn't do a sarcastic clapback at trans people asking you to give a shit about their lives in a way you think is stupid
but you're the only one who seems to be confused? here is a screenshot from someone in the comments, i don't know much about this but this seems pretty clear that AIPAC at the very least heavily contributed to the outcome
Since some people seem to be confused about this: the dogwhistle is saying that AIPAC bought the election she lost. They did not, and in fact they also opposed her opponent. So how am I supposed to interpret this unless we take “AIPAC” to be a synecdoche for something else.
Uncommitted did the inside outside strategy that liberals claim to worship to a T and will never be forgiven. There is unfortunately a pretty perverse lesson in there.
Rep. Dan Goldman, who lost his primary nearly 2:1, is giving advice to democrats at 4 AM: “If you were a supporter of the Uncommitted movement — which was significantly responsible for Trump 2.0 — then you are in no position to demand anything from Democrats.”
Dem leadership should be demanding that Stevens apologize for what she just said on Twitter
i never liked ken jennings anyway. i never liked the wnba anyway. i never liked womens sports anyway. i never liked harry potter anyway. i never liked the nyt word games anyway. i never liked alice cooper dee schneider and kiss anyway. i never l
BREAKING: Jeopardy Host Ken Jennings Dies at 52 After Battle With Transphobia
It is in fact racist to call an Arab with views you disagree with an antisemite. I know this will be a surprise to many but unless that person is actually saying something antisemitic, the Arab is not genetically predisposed to antisemitism
i'm rescinding transness from whichever delegate gave permission to ken for this without authorization. turn in your name and pronouns. i want your desk cleared out by 5pm today.
This may be true of others but I actually got express permission from the trans community to keep NYT games and recipes. I also have a news subscription, which is arguably worse, so I had to specifically send in a written request. Took 30 days but I got approved.
ken. what are you doing? delete and apologize and learn from it.
They were like “Trans people are not a monolith” and “Like-minded allies may disagree on specific media boycotts” and stuff like that. It was a huge load off my mind!
There is no good faith concern. None. There are only people who never gave a shit about trans women in sports being manipulated into thinking there are good faith concerns and then normal people. You can't have good faith concerns about a few dozen people playing fucking sports. Shut up and stop it
enough of this shit
trans rights frankly is a top 5, potentially top 3 issue for me despite not being trans and not having any trans family being bigoted against trans folks not only hurts my trans friends and every trans person but is so predictive of further bigotry
In the year 2026 we are going to forget everything we have ever learned about "I'm just asking questions!" and we're going to act like everybody *outside of NYC* must be more of an expert on *anything inside of NYC* than the people who were just elected to office to do the thing they campaigned on.
if there’s anything I would want to drill into the public consciousness it’s that there are almost always like a dozen ways to approach any given problem and some of them will be more effective than others and we have to stop acting like the questions around it are against fixing the issue
Will I understand Charli XCX if I haven’t seen Charli XCVIIII
this is the greatest campaign poster ever created the negative space is mesmerizing
just became aware of William Howard Taft’s 1908 campaign poster
Biblically accurate Angel food cake
Me, after my wife asks my opinion on another woman’s appearance:
Jesus Christ, this is the worst bio I've ever seen No wonder this bloodthirsty freak loves this irredeemable crybaby
This site is honestly beginning to feel unsustainable
The author might claim that "This was a sincere question.", but the nature of the questions, how they're phrased and that they come in rapid fire succession (with prefaced caveats like "Politics aside...", "...if not running for election..."). It comes off like a Tucker Carlson/Samuel Alito query.
Man this is awful. This was a sincere question. I was happy with the discussion that came out of it. But I wake up this morning to nonstop abuse, because one of Bluesky’s cult-like figures has (pretty unfairly) attacked me as not understanding people need food. This isn’t good or sustainable!
i would love to give people the gift of being able to identify the single biggest sealion on the entire website (i have been here for a week so i am something of an expert)

If you think Kat Abughazali is bad faith and Will Stancil isn't then I don't know what to tell you... because you're clearly too stupid and/or evil to understand anything said to you.
also, why be so fucking afraid of local experiments!? if the nyc grocery is a policy failure let it be an instructive one and until then let mamdani sell cheap milk and eggs to struggling new yorkers.
any liberal credibly able to call themselves such must at baseline be willing to defend the liberty to advocate for perfectly normal positions like state run health care and social services. even if they were marginally fringe ideas the fuck are you doing here? they're trying to jail people
