If you see someone with nonce glasses remember to clearly say “Meta, stop recording” before you kick their arse. The only thing those things have disrupted is the “You wouldn’t hit someone wearing glasses would you?” industry.

Same with autism and other forms of neurodivergence. "Autism may represent a significant evolutionary advantage, as researchers increasingly believe that neurodivergent traits were selected to provide human societies with a 'specialist' edge". Basically, we're the X-Men and they *hate* us for it.

All the time and energy that is being expended by white people convinced that bigots and monsters can be talked out of it *should instead be used to protect people from them*. Put your effort where it can actually help. You can’t convert the bigots. Build a new system that doesn’t include them.

tl;dr: ACAB includes jokes about disability, just as much as it includes people who patrol to catch people "faking" disability while using a mobility aid or accessible parking space. ACAB includes anyone policing people's bodies. As ever, kill the cop inside your head.

Key to that: There's no wrong way to have a body. There's no *kind* of body that makes you disposable, that robs you of your human dignity, of your fundamental right to exist in society. Abled folks will hear me say that, and not really get it, when I talk about it in relation to disability.

Who among us doesn't need a fire-breathing ASCII dragon helpfully telling an alarmed ASCII cow the date in Hobbiton in their Linux terminal? Might be helpful to some damn fool of a Took. A little Python program I whipped up, rewriting code I'd written in BASIC in the distant times of 1999!
