Considering our nearby alpine ski resort is currently under wildfire evacuation orders and the air is too unhealthy to go outside, it may be time for legislators to reconsider this three billion dollar polluting climate destroying proposal to double the width of I-5 into Harriet Tubman Middle School

also, two additional things: - trans people and gay people are overlapping groups, not synonymous - even well-meaning cishet parents of trans or queer kids are capable of doing incredible harm to their kids

I went on a date with a guy who worked in recycling advocacy and I’m pretty sure the moment that broke it was the look of disbelief on my face when he assured me that plastics do actually get recycled because the recycling center takes them. Nice guy otherwise.

The anti trans crowd was outraged by this study because it included clinicians who actually practice gender affirming care. Yet another systematic review that follows Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Utah, and Louisiana that finds this care is safe and effective with rare regret.

Grateful I got a big air filter during the thick of Covid and also replaced the old windows so we can seal ourselves inside the house and ride out the smoke. Got a river day in last weekend too, so it’s not like the whole summer is wasted. Should be fine.
