This has been my experience with customer service chatbots everywhere. At a time when AI tech bros are crowing about the awesome intellect of their models, customer service chatbots just keep getting dumber and dumber, and better at better at blocking customers from getting anything useful.

zig comptime is certified bananas. i just discovered that you can define a struct complete with generic fields (and methods!) in the return type position of a function.

If we ever make a real AI that's actually conscious instead of slop generators, you can be sure the vast majority of articles will be about how it's definitely not conscious and certainly not a person in order to justify its continued exploitation.

it's a small thing and almost certainly doesn't make a difference in practice but zig lets me basically inline functions all the way down to the CLAP callback layer and that really tickles me

We are so far beyond satire at this point.

My god. The Heritage Foundation, which mercilessly attacked transgender kids in order to protect the "integrity of women's sports," is now attacking the legal basis for women's sports. The transgender student decision is barely 2 weeks old.

ngl, i am super fucking tired of all the people i used to respect turning into braindead slopcultists.

this whole AI takeover of plugins has been so depressing. the KVR Developer Challenge used to be like christmas to me. a showcase of talented developers making innovative free tools for the community for a small cash prize. it's not even every year. and now it's just a slop trough. i'm fucking SAD
