I hate when I’m typing and whatever form I’m using tries to suggest text for me. It’s distracting and actively makes me want to put in something different, anything different, so that what I’m saying is genuinely mine, you know?

I'm nerdy, into swordfighting (I play Belegarth) , and I do actual-play content with @streamingrainbow. I also have a (finished) AP Eldritch Horror podcast called Lantern Cove. Find it wherever you get your podcasts! Oh, and I'm a trans lesbian.
"There Will Come Soft Rains" left a mark in my soul, so this feels significant to me.
Today, August 4, 2026, is the setting of Ray Bradbury’s short story “There Will Come Soft Rains” about a fully automated house continuing on after the family who lived there and the world around it died in a nuclear blast.
Just an absolute shout out to everyone out there who helped manufacture doubt around the question of this guy being a Nazi, particularly after the Nazi salute.
Tweet from Elon Musk: “Anyone who opposites remigration is a traitor” posted yesterday.
From one former #CRITAwards nominee to many current ones: congratulations! Win or lose, remember this: your art speaks. Even if it becomes a gap between nominations, if you ever doubt yourself, remember this: your art speaks, and it always will. That’s better than any award in my book.
When trans folks point out the cowardice of institutions complying with anti-trans bigotry, we're often hit with "but what do you expect them to do?" Well, this. Say "no." Refuse. Defy. Grow a goddamn spine.
In February, USA Rugby banned trans women from all levels of one of the world’s most inclusive sports. What happened next was telling. Across the country, teams refused to comply. The story of the Baltimore Ferals, who are pushing back: www.thebanner.com/sports/rugby...
Then They Came for the Anarchists: Prairieland Defendants Sentenced to 562 Years Judge Reed O’Connor reportedly said at sentencing that he “wants to send a message to anyone else with similar ideology.” This ideology, in the words of FBI Director Kash Patel, is “Antifa-aligned anarchis[m].”
Then They Came for the Anarchists: Prairieland Defendants Sentenced to 562 Years - UNICORN RIOT
According to federal prosecutors, the defendants were the members of a murderous “North Texas Antifa Cell.” The Prairieland defendants received over 562 years in federal prison -- the longest sentence...

My preferred AI metaphor is actually Asbestos. - Seemingly magical properties - Developed and experimented with to make endless products - Poisoned countless communities in it's creation - Everything it was used for eventually becomes a toxic hazard to mitigate & it's in the fucking walls now
Trying out a new metaphor: "A.i." = cocaine. Cocaine is inevitable! Cocaine can enhance your creativity! Cocaine can make us all faster and more efficient! If your kid doesn't learn how to use cocaine, they'll get left behind!
Started my day this morning before work by reading through the first half of the new Adventure Zone graphic novel. 10/10, also I'm crying right now and it's wonderful.
It sounds stupid, it is stupid, but its deadly serious because they are trying to blame an impoverished .5% of the population for EVERYTHING, no matter how ridiculous. Very much the same as how Germany blamed .5% of the population for everything, and you know what came next.
Trump on the CHIPS Act: "If you weren't transgender, you didn't qualify. So they'd get the money, they'd look all over for transgender people to run the company."
Started rewatching 'Black Adder.' Loved it as a kid, so funny. ...was it always this homophobic? Like, damn.
Public Domain Art is the lifeblood of small tabletop rpgs, but it can be a nightmare trying to find the right art and license. This week, I’ve re-uploaded my old list from 2020 (with updates) of public domain websites. That's 500,000+ public domain paintings, photos, maps, and film. Link below 🔗👇
Kids need/deserve traumatic films. Films that show death or lasting consequences that aren't resolved almost instantly. Fear, anger, grief and frustration should be part of kids movies. Kids arent stupid, they feel big emotions just like adults, they deserve to see those experiences reflected back.
What if I told you one woman, with little accountability, is wearing the name of the United Nations to launder false anti-trans forum posts into global legal fights, including the US Supreme Court? Our reporter S. Baum investigates Reem Alsalem in our collaboration piece with The Nation.
How One Woman Is Using the UN to Attack Trans Rights Worldwide
It’s no coincidence that the Supreme Court’s decision allowing trans sports bans echoes the work of Reem Alsalem, the UN special rapporteur on violence against women and girls.

"And know this, the day will come when all these skirmishes and battles, these moments of defiance will have flooded the banks of the Empire's authority and then there will be one too many. One single thing will break the siege. Remember this. Try."

i really do hope that one day sudden surges in "trans rights are human rights" and "i love my trans friends" and "give a trans person money" posts won't be immediate indications of something fucking horrible happening, but alas

Fix your hearts or die. You know how many of us joke that Pride month should be followed by Wrath? This year I feel a deep, burning fury towards all who use transgender lives as political propaganda. We are human beings. You cannot erase us. Happy Pride. Trans liberation at any cost. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
It's really hard to convey just how massive the scale of legislation has been to target trans people. From a few dozen pieces of legislation in 2015 to over a thousand in 2025. It started with sports bans in 2020 and now we're here. it was never about sports.
psa for cis folks: every single "legitimate concern" about trans people (bathrooms, sports, blockers, etc) is a made up astroturf by the far right. if you buy into any of it, you are an utter chump and a useful idiot for racist pedophiles
"Trans people will always exist." Cool. "They can't kill us all." Comforting. Yeah, transness will survive, but *I* want to survive, too, y'know? But also, survival and existence aren't enough for me anymore, and they shouldn't be enough for allies either. I want to see my trans friends thrive.
Saw Supergirl. It was good, but for reasons I’m attempting to discern, I didn’t really connect with the story emotionally. I do recommend it, though.

A Trans woman in Kansas changed her license to M because of the gender marker ban passed earlier this year. She gets pulled over and they didn't believe the license was hers. They later charge her for driving with an invalid license. She complied with the law and was still charged criminally.
1. She changed her ID to comply with Kansas’ new anti-trans law. Now, the state wants to put her in jail for having an inaccurate license. Kris Ripper is being charged with driving with an invalid license—a class B misdemeanor—after a cop refused to believe the ID the state forced on her was valid.
