I truly, deeply, sincerely do think the guy flipping burgers at McDonalds should be able to afford rent, bills, and groceries with his paycheck alone. That's kind of the whole point of having a job and I can't believe this is considered a radical position.πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈ

‼️Doing this ASAP to prevent shut off. My phone keeps me connected with my disabled sons medical team, my kids schools, my elderly dad I run errands for and more. My internet keeps my family above water right now with online help as I’m waiting on SSI. Without help my family is stranded. ‼️

I use to work 2 jobs until my body couldn't handle doing it with my long covid issues. In December 2022 my health landed me in the ER where I was in AFib. My heart had to be restarted because it wouldn't come down from over 215 bpm. Not only was that experience extremely traumatizing but it was also eye opening that I am the only one caring for my kids. I realized I needed to do whatever I had to to make sure I stayed around for them. Which brings me to the main reason outside of my health that I cannot work. One of my kids is disabled with level 3 autism. It is the most severe type of autism. He is nonverbal, aggressive when overwhelmed/ can't communicate and doesn't understand to avoid dangerous things. I have to lock my house up tight so he can't elope as drowning is a HUGE cause of death among severely autistic kids like my son. I'm in high alert majority of the day unless he sleeps.
