Something to add: If you're opposed to Twitch's GenAI, please show you're also opposed to other GenAI Twitch tools such as FrostyTools and Tangia by not using them! FrostyTools scrapes the raider's profile and chat then uses GenAI to provide a (probably wrong) shoutout. Tangia steals actors' voices!

After turning off "Training for Generative AI" in your settings, go to safebadge.ori.mx and confirm you are safe from gen AI training (requires Twitch authentication - alternatively put AIOptedOut or NoGenAI in your stream tags/title).
for the record this is the equivalent of a white supremacist saying that they respect foreign cultures as long as they stay out of the national ethnostate. it's the kind of fascism of a "brotherhood of nations" that balibar identifies in race nation class ambiguous identities

I'd argue that, for the metrics, it's vastly MORE important that viewers turn this off. There's more viewers than streamers, so even if every streamer turned this off, if viewers don't, the executives can still claim that "most users don't care" and cram it down our throats even harder. Opt out.

For my Twitch friends, chatter around the traps is "AIOptedOut" is the tag a lot of folks are going with. Twitch are NOT going to label streams that are opted in, so it's our responsibility to ensure folks know our streams are safe and a consistent tag is a good start. #AIOptedOut #Twitch #VSky

Don't give them an inch. Opt out, tell everyone you know to opt out. There is so much amazing creativity and innovation in streaming, and it belongs to us, not to companies trying to steal our work and take all the credit for themselves.

If you're a Patreon creator, go to your Relationship Manager and use this filter to see if anyone's subscribed through the iOS app. If they are, you can send them a DM through the site asking them to switch to subscribing through a browser.

In the "Waltz of the Boos" theme from Super Mario Galaxy, the pizzicato arpeggio in the beginning and throughout the song spells out "DEADEAD DEADEAD". Whether the usage of the sequence "DEAD" for a ghostly theme is deliberate or merely a fitting coincidence is unknown.
A heads up that AI *was* used here. The developer also seems to be fond of ableist slurs, which you know, very cool to see in 2026.
