I don't have any particular tea about this at the moment. That's my evergreen take on efforts to stymie grassroots organizing for reclaiming our public infrastructure that comes from across the political spectrum. Short term wins still out there; medium to long term we will win.

We are not going to sue or criminalize our way out of state violence. That is feeding what we are fighting. We are not going to “hold them accountable” unless we take away their jobs, money, legitimacy & power AND divest from logics & structures they uphold. Ending QI does none of those things.

And, ideally, it would leave so many of them broke that it actually becomes a deterrent. Being poor is truly all they care about not because they don’t care about prison.
