Day 1: the LIGHT Annual Consortium meeting kicks off this morning at the Crown Plaza in Copenhagen. Consortium partners from Nigeria, Malawi, Kenya, Uganda and the UK meet to discuss the key research findings, research uptake and impact so far.

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Our latest pre-print led by @alexandra-richards.bsky.social shows that improving #TB treatment coverage among men to the level achieved among women could reduce morbidity and mortality in men, women, and children. Further evidence of the need for gender-responsive TB prevention and care!

A year ago, I was tasked with creating a timeline for @lshtm-tbmod.bsky.social and we came across this amazing example of a way to keep track of a group with a long history. We now have a record of our history going back to 2011, and I hope that this can stay alive and continuously updated as well!
