I find arguments that AI can't do judgement or creativity or taste to be especially obviously false in the time of agents. Any long task requires lots of taste, judgement & creativity. I am much more sympathetic to arguments about the quality or diversity of the AI's taste, judgement, or creativity

I meet with MAHA activists because a lot of their concerns are bipartisan issues that major corporations paint as partisan. The fight isn't left and right, it's top and bottom.

A lot of Cyberpunk and post-punk sci-fi around this concept! Gibson, of course. Neuromancer and Sprawl have a lot about different forms of "intelligence" including the Zaibatsus, Tessier-Ashpool, Virek. Stross makes it very explicit in Accelerando: humans as a step to corporate evolution.

It’s actually well-known that people are irrational, don’t debase yourself pretending this is smart

AI denial does function well as a low stakes tracer dye for how much groupthink is in a community. If you see a high frequency of afflicted people, that community hasn't ingested any info other than social signalling in a decade.
Private jets and mega yachts are very environmentally friendly, because if you redistributed Jeff Bezos’ money to middle class American, they would consume it in vastly more carbon intensive ways. $500mm of Priuses would emit 50,000 tons of CO2 per year, while $500mm of yacht emits a mere 7,000:
