I have long told my clients facing displacement that evictions are a form of violence. An eviction is never the first bad thing to happen to someone, and is often the tipping point that kicks off full-blown crisis and a rapid downward spiral. The shootings today were a tragedy beget by tragedy.

rumors are that the shooter in minneapolis today was evicted from his apartment in loring towers and that the property manager was among those shot this reminds me of how taylor schulz had eviction as a stressor before he killed robert skafte in loring park in 2023 too

This is what living next door to a 30 megawatt data center sounds like.

when i joined bluesky two years ago people joked that it was a posting retirement home for 38 year olds but this place has undergone such massive change since then, like the average age is now 40
