The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

I fully support the Basic Income for Artists scheme, with only one caveat. My caveat is that I think that it shouldn’t be restricted to artists, but be made available to everyone (many of whom will turn out to have been hidden artists all along)

One of the reasons I think “defund the police” is a great slogan is that you get to repeatedly tell people that studies show that police don’t actually solve murders, and in fact one-third of stranger-murders are committed by police.
