Reflecting on my #phd journey tonight! I am so grateful to a group of amazing people, my advisor Max, my TAC members, examiners, collaborators, and my people whom I miss so much!! 6 months ago we celebrated a personal mileston!! Thanks to all who made it possible!
Anyone in here who applied for the @embo.org #postdoctoral #fellowship and could share some information/tips!? I would be really grateful for any insights!! 😁🤩 @phdvoice.bsky.social #phdlife #postdoclife
High-throughput screening of drugs that affect cell proliferation is easily done using a plate reader. No such luck for cell migration. So, we developed an assay for label-free deep learning-based automated cell tracking. Read more about our assay here: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
Applications are now open for the @cruk-cityoflondon.bsky.social Black Leaders in Cancer PhD Programme. If you are interested in our project ‘Reprogramming Plasticity in Colorectal Cancer’ feel free to get in touch! www.colcc.ac.uk/2026-blic-ph...
When you pack the last 7 years of memories with the most beautiful people and leave 🇩🇪 🥹🥰 Auf Wiedersehen Munich, I will miss you all! To new adventures 🤩
There is still time to apply to become part of our team at Nature Biomedical Engineering! Please share! springernature.wd3.myworkdayjobs.com/SpringerNatu...

🤩My new #naturecover for @maxreichertmd.bsky.social and @arispapargyriou.bsky.social who developed a new 3D culture system called “branched” organoids. They’re called #branched because they grow outward in tree-like shapes with multiple “branches” mimicking the tumour growth in adenocarcinoma.
Very happy to see the June cover of natBME featuring our paper on branched #organoids to capture pancreatic cancer heterogeneity! Thanks to @maxreichertmd.bsky.social @tum.de and our amazing team!! Thanks to @ella-maru.bsky.social for the cover design! www.nature.com/articles/s41...
June, a reminder of the importance of visibility, inclusion, solidarity. Let's uplift each other + stand up for equity—not just in words, but in action! The Meshwork will always celebrate LGBTQ+ voices. Have a story/lab initiative/scientist to spotlight? We’d love to hear/share!

1/n Some time ago my colleague, excellent cook, and friend Ivan told me: "Cacio e pepe is the recipe that I screw up more often. Let's make a project studying systematically the physics of that sauce". Prepare to get cheesy, I'm glad to share the Cacio e paper preprint: arxiv.org/abs/2501.00536
Happy new year everyone and I 've an exciting announcement to make: @naturecellbiology.bsky.social is now open to considering #preclinical studies & #ClinicalTrials, including #CellTherapy or #genetherapy, among others. Feel free to contact the handling editor for more info (yes, that 'd be me!)

‘Forever’ chemicals can be destroyed with clever chemistry — now test these techniques outside the lab
Chemistry that can break carbon–fluorine bonds in persistent molecules called PFAS could help to clean up the environment. Testing in real-world settings must come next.
