Reminder: Dem victories win us time, but we have to build and make moves during that time, if we dont make big transformations the fash wave comes back harder and higher

It’s incredibly important to recognize that Democrats running up the score so high they exceeded the margins of fuckery is not a sign of democratic health. It is a time-limited reprieve to secure the government before we lose it. This was the failure of the Biden Era that cannot be repeated.

Democrats lost in 2024 because voters 1) Didn't think Trump would do what he said he'd do, and 2) they think Dems don't fight. Namely, they thought if Trump were as bad as they said, they'd be fighting harder. This is the most important thing to remember when you see Dems cave. That's how we lose.

(2/3) There is no "the Fiction"; in a game with four players and one GM, there are five imagined worlds which may not resemble one another at all. One of the functions of dice, rules, maps, etc. is to furnish a set of metafictional anchors to PRODUCE whatever degree of resemblance play requires.

This Day in Labor History: October 12, 1962. A huge storm blew through the Pacific Northwest, knocking over millions of board feet of timber. Out of this came an entire new export market--sending unprocessed logs to Japan, which undermined Northwest timber employment. Let's talk storms and labor!

the Vice President of the United States has gone on record citing this man as one of his biggest intellectual influences if you didn't know this, it's probably because for some reason literally no mainstream political media outlets think it's worth mentioning

Shipping costs used to be a huge component of the cost of goods. Paying surly dockers to spend a week unloading and loading a cargo hold by hand was expensive. It often was not worth it to import goods even if they could be made cheaper elsewhere, because of freight costs.

Normally I don't care about gas, but USPS added an 80 cent fuel surcharge to all packages. In an average year I get about 2,000 online orders, so that's $1600 the president is making me spend on postage that I could have spent on other things.
