Abdul El-Sayed has never held elected office and just won the primary for a senate seat in the biggest battleground state in the country by beating a congresswoman who was endorsed by the current Senator, Governor, and Schumer & the DSCC while being outspent over 10 to 1. That win is plenty big.

controlling measles outbreaks is extremely resource-intensive for health departments. the public health system is under a lot of stress in a lot of different places right now. that drives up costs too

I’m here at the Fish Hatchery encampment in St. Paul as the city prepares to sweep the camp. St. Paul cops are stopping cars coming in but there are dozens of people that have gathered here in anticipation of the sweep in order to help camp residents and document what the city does here today.

The purpose of the Democratic Party is to be a bulwark against the Left. That's it. That's all they are concerned about and all they do. And it looks like they aren't even good at that anymore.
If Stevens had made it to the general election and lost in the fall, the argument would have been that the left cost the Dems the Senate. The left is pretty used to the media narrative always being “the left is at fault.”

Namely, that trans people are not hypothetical thought experiments. They are real people who are being genocided by our government & any coverage that doesn't center that reality misses the mark.
do establishment Dem candidates run better campaigns? no. but do they have popular stances? also no. BUT are they more electable in general elections? definitely not.
