What a no vote on Seattle's Prop 1 is a vote for, according to the Seattle Public Library Foundation. Imagine advocating for public libraries to be defunded at a time like this. Couldn't be me.
One of the biggest lies the 1% and its foot soldiers push is that taxes are drowning Americans when it’s really that a 2 bedroom apartment is $3k per month.

They don’t acknowledge that $58 a year for much better bus service, saving people time and money, is an *amazing* deal. Take it, Seattle!

Ryan Packer@typewriteralley.bsky.social · 6mo agoThe thing that jumps out at me here is the idea that SDOT taking an idea to the Alliance for Pioneer Square and them not liking it should be an automatic veto, and the department going to the preservation board over their objection is the city "not listening."

oh commuters just found the motherlode of ice agents at a suburban hotel, including, potentially, bovino himself. a bunch of confirmed ICE and CBP cars from the bovino convoy there. spring hill suites in maple grove. people of the twin cities, do with this info what you will.
This is one of the things that I find is most shocking to people outside Minnesota who don’t realize it yet—the scale at which everyone who isn’t white has been forced into a spectrum of hiding. Very good article drawing out the Tahrir Square comparison.

If you're not shouting "Abolish ICE, arrest the murderers, hold trials," you're normalizing domestic terrorism at the hands of the trump government at this point. Abolish ICE is the moderate position and the absolute bare minimum.

Congress cannot fund without significant reforms an agency engaged in this level of lawlessness. But that shouldn't stop the rest of the federal budget from passing. The Senate should strip DHS funding out and pass everything else
