To everyone responding to this with some variation of "well, it's Iowa:" provide literally any amount of evidence that shows Democrats benefiting from opportunistic transphobia. Like you can't even pull the realpolitik > ethics card because it's both morally abhorrent and politically worthless.

Here is where I want to focus in. The Biden administration tried to return to normal, to reset back to historic norms under the belief/assumption that Trump 1 was some sort of historical aberration. 1/

We will still have a republic that is gravely wounded and bleeding out. Defeating the current assailant doesn't mean you've stopped the bleeding. The wounds are still there and still potentially fatal.
