Every single thing this buffoon has said he’ll do, he hasn’t done! Hasn’t even begun to do! Fully self driving cars, “hyper loops,” Mars colony, all of them had completion dates well in the rearview! If you still believe his next big thing, you’re too credulous to be trusted around anyone’s money!

Humanoid robots? Why? Robots already do a lot of work in factories here on earth, and they’re, like, disembodied multi-jointed arms, because “human shaped” is suboptimal for almost every industrial application you could care to imagine. Stop! Being! So! Stupid!!!!

the best HS teams in the country have multiple guys who will be in the NBA in a couple of years. they aren't normal high schools, they're basketball factories. but this literally doesn't matter. the value of women's sports isn't contingent on their performance vis a vis men.

Don't just drive past the premise, though, which is absurd. Any WNBA team is exclusively the top 0.01% athletes in the sport. Pretending that a high school team could hang with, much less beat, them is ridiculous.

You can never just move on from this, even after he's gone. Without punishment and ostracism for everyone who has participated in his crime spree over the last 18 months you can forget it- we're all just treading water until the next tyrant

I'm seeing a lot of SUPERHERO MOVIES ARE BACK posts in the wake of #BrandNewDay's success. Spider-Man movies were breaking box office records well before the MCU existed. They are a cinema phenomenon onto themselves, because Spider-Man is a singularly resonant and relatable character.

So many parallels: Advances followed by brutal backlashes. Hatred cloaked in concern about "fairness" and "undue influence" on children. Insistence that it's a medical/mental problem. Rage at cultural institutions that "promote a lifestyle." Invective about "special rights." Malevolent statehouses.

I have been thinking a lot lately about how so many of the "arguments" against trans rights are essentially the same as the various fake panics about gay people.
