As anyone in publishing will tell you, women do not resist reading books by men, but men will often dismiss books by women. This is not a publishing problem or a failure to target men. It's a misogyny problem.

I want to say I bought this at a bookstore in the Valley, big props to the anonymous author for committing to the bit and not putting any name besides “Skeletor.” honestly not bad advice, especially considering the source.

AN ANTIDOTE TO AMBITION
I am an ambitious man and my ambition is pulled in many different directions. want to destroy He-Man. I want to invade Castle Grayskull and learn its ancient secrets. I want to get revenge on Hordak for skipping out on me mid-battle through his stupid old smelly ugly dumb pissy crappy dimensional portal. And I want those things ALL AT ONCE.

BOUND-DOWN OR WEEPING, DEPRESSION COMES IN MANY FORMS.
AN ARGUMENT FOR JOURNALING
One of the hardest things about depression is it comes in many forms. Whether you're held tight by

ON THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING SINGLE WHEN YOU'RE NOT IN A GOOD PLACE
There's nothing better than being in love but you should also learn the joys (and, even more so, the im-portance) of being single. Sometimes we're not in the right place in our lives to be in a relationship. That's when we need to fix our problems and work on ourselves before wading back into the dating scene.

Rest well. Know that you are loved, appreciated & respected. Even if its just a stranger on the internet you dont even know and have never met. If you needed this, then this measage is for you. If you didn’t need this, same. Be well and be kind to yourself no matter how hard, friend. Take care ❤️👍🏾

This is and has always been the point of patriarchy: barring women from access to resources so we can only get them through men. So that men who would otherwise never be chosen by women can coerce women into relationships. Patriarchy has always been affirmative action for shitty men.

The conservative solution for the “male loneliness epidemic” and decentering men is to just remove women from public spaces.

Very important piece by @davidoatkins.bsky.social at Washington Monthly: the DNC is actually doing just fine and raising record money, and the hit pieces are a product of a tier of useless DC consultants who don't want their media buy gravy train to end. washingtonmonthly.com/2026/07/31/t...

The Case for the DNC’s Ken Martin. Really.

Martin is being excoriated, but he’s taking on the consultant class, building a strong grassroots operation, and raising tons of money.

I think it harms Journalism that the message that the media has sent to us over the last several years is that no matter what a person does it’s impossible to credibly be sure that they are a Nazi.

@wagatwe.bsky.social Another part, I think, is that through around 2010, minorities’ battle against white racism was framed in movies, TV and other media as a fight against uncool jerks that any smart, cool, empathetic person—including nonracist whites—could ally with and live vicariously through. >

a big part of this is that US media is very white—and has only gotten whiter as the workforce shrinks.

Wile E. Coyote's inexorable sadness turns to cunning. On the firmest, most dangerous cliffside, he paints another two-bedroom house, a beautiful road runner wife, and three adorable road runner kids running around on the road. He slyly beckons the Road Runner toward this new road runner life, but

Wile E. Coyote, despaired, takes a bucket of paint and a brush and paints a beautiful two-bedroom house on a mountainside. He paints a beautiful coyote wife in the window, and two adorable coyote kids running around in the yard. He tries to enter this new coyote life, but it is inaccessible to him
