So weird how when one of the MANY white male mass shooters acts one of the first assumptions is that he was bullied but on the EXTREMELY RARE occasion that a shooter is trans not one person asks about bullying - which is actually valid in this case.

I think we need to have congressional hearings on the HHS destruction, specifically the fact that Bhattacharya, Prasad, and Makary were all known to be problems years before their appointments. I have questions for their institutional leadership as to why UCSF, Stanford, and JHU failed to act. 1/

I notice US media is running with the White House line that the Jobs Report was “better than expected” - Navarro’s ploy yesterday to set a really low bar worked. But having your foot amputated is “better than expected” if they told you it was the whole leg and 130,000 extra jobs is historically low.

The hype is not true. What may be true is that the balance of power favors executives & shareholders so thoroughly that both consumers & employees will be forced to accept a lower standard so that the parties in power don’t suffer consequences for going all-in on AI.

I understand why people are exhausted by AI hype, and why those of us squarely in the corner of "human dignity uber alles" see AI doomerism as self-serving hype, but I *really* think people on the left broadly need to start thinking seriously about the possibiltiy of the hype being...true.

This asshole was driving drunk with both his kids in the car. He resisted arrest and threatened to have the arresting officer deported, but magically all charges were dropped except DWI. He got probation, and now he’s bitching about that because it precludes him going back to work at ICE.
