Mixing Once a few years ago for a one-week run at the end of a brutal summer PCLO season left me kind of broken and beaten, but at the end of the week, I still loved every word and every note of the show.

The 20yo’s spring break ends today so we’re driving her back at some point. Not awful, just what it is. Taking a camera along just in case I see anything of interest along the way.

What do you do when the hotel the theater lobby passes under has a fire alarm? You evacuate all 1200 patrons and the performers, for roughly 20 minutes. It felt like longer, though. We restarted roughly 30 minutes after the alarm went off. It’s going to be a long night.

Nothing like having to make an impromptu dishwasher repair after Christmas dinner. Slow drip at the supply line connection. I’ll replace the line Saturday when I actually have time to deal with it. Other than that, an overall good day with my wife and daughters. Good food and family togetherness.

Tried making a cake this morning while we were waiting for the 23yo and her boyfriend to arrive. I deflated the egg whites when I tried folding them in, so it’s very thin. We have hundreds of cookies so I’ll make it again after Christmas. Just thankful to have the kids here for the day.
