Bluesky, please fix your alt text box. It is impossible to delete and retype things exactly where one needs to without either making a scrambled mess or deleting the whole thing and starting anew. This is a wholly new and extremely puzzling development.

Waymo is cops. It's a remote control car data scraper and surveillance system pretending to be a cab. The secondary revenue stream is you paying for a ride. The main source is selling data. And they're dangerous as hell. I'm always amazed how many people are unwilling to see that shit.

I have read the Astarion book and it is very good, and I have never even played Baldur's Gate 3. I read it because a) i will read literally anything Ursula wants to write; and b) idiots were freaking out about it for no good reason.

"exonerative tense" gets at something important but it's technically not a tense maybe "intentionally irresponsible phrasing" would be more accurate bc 1) it's irresponsible to phrase it this way 2) it's intentional 3) it is phrased specifically to avoid correctly attributing responsibility

this is phrased to obscure agency the same way they do for cops. "driver released after pickup truck kills 2" makes it sound like the truck is the one to blame an accurate headline would say "woman drives into kids soccer game, killing 2 and injuring 10"
