It is worth paying attention to the background of the dispute between Avanti West Coast and ASLEF, because of AWC’s reliance on rest day working (rdw). Avanti simply do not employ enough drivers to be able to deliver the number of services it had promised the government & passengers it will run

Exactly, most of these l reforms resulted from the UK losing court cases in the European court of human rights. Every government, Labour or Tory in United Kingdom, has had to be dragged kicking and screaming to LGBT rights reform against its will.
