On 24 March 1975, 50yo Alex Mitchell literally died laughing while watching the ‘Kung Fu Kapers’ ep of The Goodies. After 25 mins of continuous laughter, he slumped on the sofa and died of heart failure. His widow later sent the Goodies a letter thanking them for making his last moments so pleasant.
