The specialist care at Kaiser is great. But every time we visit mom’s primary care physicians, they’re sweating the clock like they’re in an action film with just 12 minutes before the bomb goes off. The time pressure those doctors are under is insane.

the ol' "this is off the record, right?" whoopsie-doodle
Dying at the right-wing activists that (1) held a call with Todd Blanche in which Blanche made a lot of anti-abortion promises, (2) said "uh this is off the record" like doing so would magically ward off journalists, and then (3) UPLOADED IT TO THEIR YOUTUBE CHANNEL www.politico.com/news/2026/08...

$SPCX - SPACEX PLANS MOON FACTORIES POWERED BY HUMANOID ROBOTS
Also good for curious/nosy people with strong imaginations for the inner lives of others. The glimpses you get are fascinating
re: LRT I am so doorknocking-pilled it's crazy. I used to grudgingly put up with it but I think it's important/fun now. you might not think it if you know me but I have social anxiety in many situations but - canvassing, whether it's electoral, labor, or tenant, is basically free exposure therapy
Things not looking great for Judge Jeanine. (Also, statistically speaking, the top factor in predicting whether Trump will fire someone in this administration is their gender. He really likes firing women.)
Trump on Jeanine Pirro: "Well I just think she was totally wrong...I told her I was not happy." Q: "Is she safe? Are you going to keep her in the position?" Trump: "I haven't made a determination."
The only way to square the mainstream media's decades of handwringing and complaining about how dysfunctional NYC is and this WSJ story about how business elites have historically "called the shots" on how NYC is run is to conclude that business dingbats ruined NYC and this is how you fix it.
New York City’s business elites are long accustomed to direct access to City Hall, where even Democratic mayors felt the need to court the city’s wealthiest and most influential corporate leaders. That access is getting shredded by Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
Personnel is policy. We can talk about new regulatory schemes to address corporate power, but sometimes it is as simple as installing personnel who don't feel like they have to constantly consult and privilege business interests. Note that there are many other avenues to engage with city hall.

Michael Flynn got paid by the Russian government to do anti-American propaganda, got paid by the Turkish government to conspire to break US laws, and now got paid by the US government for helping cover up a hostile anti-American foreign intelligence operation, ensuring perpetrators got away with it.
🧵🧵🧵 A scandal that hardly anyone knows happened is Trump giving traitor Michael Flynn $1.25 million in your tax money. Flynn, Trump’s 1st national security adviser, pleaded guilty twice to lying to the FBI but was pardoned by Trump. He sued, alleging "weaponization," and DOJ paid him in March. 1/4🧵
This win also sends a message to Senate Democrats that Chuck Schumer needs to be replaced with a new leader who can credibly lead an effective opposition party. Yet again, voters have made it clear they're demanding a Democratic Party that is willing to fight back against fascism.
This is a massive victory for working families in Michigan and voters demanding a new generation of Democratic leadership. By nominating Abdul for the Senate, Democrats are choosing new leadership prepared to champion working people and meet this moment with the urgency and courage it demands.
🚨 @abdulelsayed.bsky.social just secured a game-changing win! Despite the status quo Democratic establishment lining up behind his opponent and special interests flooding millions into this race, Abdul's people-powered campaign won. Being a real Democratic fighter is good policy and good politics!
Google *says* it wants to "organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful," but every dime it spends fighting fraud (a critical part of this mission!) is a dime it can't spend on stock buybacks, executive compensation and AI servers. 44/
The too-big-to-care company is still the internet's gatekeeper, but half the guards at the gate have been fired and the other half have pulled so much overtime that they keep falling asleep on the job. Google has become a scammer's paradise. 18/
a lot of people seem to think there is a fundamental inferiority to women that simply isn't true and a lot of those differences are less your biological makeup and more the fact that boys get so much more support, food, and training than girls, that gulf vanishes the more you equalize those things
it's the old serena williams tweet in action, that there is a physical difference between the top tier of male athletes and the top tier of female athletes gets taken by far too many delusional men as "I can beat a woman at anything" no, you cannot beat a decent athlete of either gender at anything
Totally taking credit for this win.
winning is fun 🙂
I was appalled (though not surprised) when I learned Sunday that Senate Dems intend to help Republicans fund the government through the election, with one minimal concession that has nothing to do with election subversion or ongoing Trump theft of federal dollars from blue states. And I remain so.
Senate Democrats Dodge Last Pre-Election Opportunity To Fight Trump
They won't take a big stand to protect the election, or resist Trump's broader lawlessness, before the midterms.

"Liberal bubble" has only ever meant anywhere where right wing perspectives aren't artificially elevated and forced into everyone's feeds.
That's what taxes are, man. That's the definition of taxes. "You are subsidizing things you might never use" man shut the fuck up. My taxes currently subsidize like oil company exec private jets, you think I'm upset at low-income people eating inexpensive bananas?
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
From a Fox Poll out 7/31: Talarico-Paxton is the marquee race down here but check out the dead heat btw Abbott and Hinojosa for governor. This contest isn't even on the radar for the national Dems, AFAIK. She's has $3m cash on hand--Abbott has *$67m*. Some more highlights from the poll... /1
Probably would've been nice to know this before the 2024 election, but sure
ABC has picked it up now. "Capital One says it closed hundreds of Trump's bank accounts in 2021 'for anti-money laundering reasons'"
The effective federal corporate income tax rate: 1950: 50% 1990: 25% 2020: 13% Stop asking "but how we will pay for it?" Restore the corporate tax rate. That is how we will pay for it.
"It's about protecting women's sports which, by the way, I hate more than anything in the world."
What sort of delusional BS is this??? www.mediaite.com/media/news/c...
nuance is not weakness, but inability to confront or deal with nuance is. i wish this were a far more broadly understood and accepted sentiment. but of course it isn't.
