Medical science has improved dramatically. My mom had one hip replaced in the 1990s and the other in the 2010s and the former had her bedridden for like 6 weeks and the latter she was up and walking in like 2 days.

I sometimes find it amazing that none of the hundreds of contractors he screwed over back when he was just a deadbeat landlord ever capped him. No one in NYC liked him, they would have fucking walked.
I fundamentally do not know how to square the politics whereby Democrats will essentially have to tell the American people that because they (the voters) made an extremely stupid decision, they need to lower their expectations substantially for the foreseeable future, but here we are.

as noted yesterday, Trump has now come around to treating an Iranian toll system covering the Strait of Hormuz as a given. Hard to overstate the level of strategic failure. US started the war purely as a war of choice and ends up dramatically empowering Iran and given the Iranian govt big wins.
