Pretty weird how the city can just take away your parking spot, that you paid for and you own. Oh wait, it's actually just a piece of city-owned street that they want to do something else with? Hard to see how you've got a claim to it, then.

Seeing people confused about Fauci taking the Fifth even though he was pre-emptively pardoned by Biden. Pardons only cover past conduct; they don't immunize future lawbreaking. Fauci's claim is Trump II DOJ would gin up a perjury investigation into him based on anything he says today.
Listening to public comment is the best antidote to being stuck in a social media bubble. I think everyone should have to listen to a single discussion of a housing or bike lane proposal at a city council meeting to cleanse the mind of preconceptions of what other people think.

I'm really struggling with the whole Mitch McConnell thing. Like, is the whole democratic party so weak that not one will book a flight to walk into the hospital or hire a PI to determine if he's dead? Do we not have investigative journalists anymore? WTH is happening, and why is no one checking?
Hours later, I walked the dog to and fro across this intersection in the crosswalk and with the flashing lights. Both times, SUVs drove right past while I was in the crosswalk. Berkeley cyclists and pedestrians need protection and they aren’t getting it.
