BREAKING: In Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson's new proposed city budget being released Tuesday, there is no projected deficit through 2030. Given the state of the projected deficit over the past many years, this is quite an achievement.

I keep seeing articles about men worrying they won't pass on their genes, and I don't understand why the media won't tell the plain truth: as a man hoping to sire children, the most important thing to do is artfully assemble a bower and surround it with a collection of startlingly blue objects.

Apparently this was a reference to the 8-ball bolo tie @xolok.bsky.social plans to wear to the event, and was intended as a "yes." Of course.

I do not understand the folks furious at trans people for responding in anguish when the party that they've been told would protect them treats their existence as negotiable. I do not understand thinking trans folks have political power and responsibility where candidates have none.

I don't think this is unrecoverable, Obama bellyached about same-sex marriage in front of live mics and ultimately did the right thing, but also I really cannot fault a trans person dealing with truly nightmarish shit for being infuriated at being treated like this, and for no reason.
